Lead Generation Specialist

The Lead Generation Specialist position is a marketing/sales position that performs teleprospecting functions to find and qualify prospects. It will utilize your professional communication, research and interviewing skills, as well as your marketing and sales skills. The Lead Generation Specialist (LGS) calls companies in a defined territory and talks to professionals about their business payment needs and initiatives. They identify who the most appropriate decision maker is in the company (usually a Controller, Treasurer or C-Level) by speaking with multiple company representatives. They then initiate a conversation with the decision maker to introduce our products & services, educate the decision maker on what value we have to offer, ask questions of the decision maker and their business and qualifies the prospect. When they have identified a sales-ready lead, it gets passed along to our sales team to follow up and continue the sales process.

The LGS's primarily use phone and email to communicate with their assigned companies. The process includes documenting the results of each call and/or email, typing clear and concise notes on the prospect, and updating the database with new contact and company information.

There are also a number of meetings and/or events for the LGS to attend and actively participate in such as client meetings (usually via conference call), team meetings, company meetings, tradeshows or networking events. LGS will also work closely with the sales team to develop prospecting techniques and meet their lead generating goals.  The LGS will also aid in daily office tasks as needed.

The lead generation specialist position is an entry level sales position with opportunities for upward mobility into sales or client management.
